Florence is centrally located in the State of Arizona and only minutes from Interstates 8 and 10.  We are only a short drive to both the Phoenix- and Tucson-metro areas, making us available to big city resources without the higher cost of living and traffic congestion. Florence is governed through a Council-Manager form of government with a full-time Town Manager hired by the Town Council.  The Town Council is composed of seven members, elected in staggered terms with the Mayor elected by the community.

County Seat

Florence is located in the heart of Pinal County and has been the County Seat since 1875.  Our community is the central location for County resources and departments, including the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, the Justice Court, the Building and Safety Department, the Development Services Department, and Pinal County Housing and Community Development.
